By making civilian survival a daily act of resistance, the strikes accomplished the exact opposite of their intended strategic objective.

The strategists planning these attacks are fighting the last war with the wrong tools, measuring success by the number of dark windows they can count from a satellite feed. They are confusing darkness with defeat.
